Obituary of James Bueckert
IN LOVING MEMORY OF JAMES BUECKERT
James was born in Dalmeny, Saskatchewan to Abe and Helen Bueckert on October 7th, 1961. James was the fourth child and second son in a family of twelve siblings. Dad went to school in Dalmeny for most of his schooling and helped grandpa on the dairy farm there. At the age of fourteen the family moved near Rosthern where they continued dairy farming for many years. James was a good brother to his siblings and enjoyed hunting and trapping from an early age.
Dad was baptized on confession of faith in the spring of 1984 at the Rheinfeld Bergthaler Mennonite Church. James married mom (Vivian Hamm) on December 19th, 1981. They lived and worked in the Rosthern area until they moved to Carrot River in the fall of 1987. They mostly raised their family in the Carrot River area. On May 25th, 2013, Dad went on to remarry Valerie Morin with whom he enjoyed life until the day of his death.
Dad really enjoyed mechanical work, he loved tinkering and was a creative genius. If there was, anyway, he figured he could design something better than was already out there Dad would, and many times did. James worked at various places, mostly in the farming, mechanical, or manufacturing industries. Being the guy who took things as they came, not worrying too much about things that might happen, if it happened, he dealt with it, if not, no big loss.
Dad passed away from a heart attack at the age of 63 on January 3rd, 2025. He will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he has made over the years.
