Linda Tyson, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, aunt, horse whisperer, pianist, singer, volunteer, artist, card ninja, snowbird, farmer, and party lover passed away peacefully in Prince Albert with her family there and others there in spirit.
Linda was the youngest of 4 children to Leslie and Lila Pope. Linda lived on the family farm (no power or water) ten miles from Borden, Saskatchewan and went to Halcyonia School until Grade 11 and completed her Grade 12 in Borden. She attended U of S and Teachers’ College where she got her teaching certificate. She married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Tyson on July 28, 1956, and moved to Saskatoon. There they expanded the family with 3 boys and a girl. In 1964, they moved to a farm near Delisle. In 1966 she went back to teaching at a 2-room school at Donovan and when the school closed, she moved to Delisle to teach at the elementary school. In 1977 they moved into Saskatoon, and she continued to teach in Delisle until retirement.Mom never complained and was always “just fine” and happy whenever anyone came over. She would always shine within the chaos of family gatherings. She lost Bob in 2006 and missed him to the very last day.
