Obituary of Doris Poor
POOR: It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Poor after a long battle with cancer on August 11, 2012 with her family at her side. Doris was born February 19, 1945 in Hull Quebec to Albert and Eva Chartrand, the fourth of six children. She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband Larry, her son James (Paula) of Waseca, her brothers and sisters; Helen Cherwoniak of Medstead and her family Maurice (Ann) and his family of Coalmont, BC; Irene Kivimaa (Jim) of Turtle Lake Sk. and their family Paul of Windthorst Sk., Albert (Yvette) of North Battleford Sk. And his family. Also saddened by her passing are numerous nieces, nephews and many of whom she shared special relationships. Doris was predeceased by her parents Albert and Eva, grandparents, her father in law Orville Poor and brother in law Don Cherwoniak. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. We will remember her for her great sense of humor, how she enjoyed nature and country life, her great love of animals, especially horses, dogs and cats. The special times with her family were always very near to her heart. She will be missed so much by all of her family and friends. At Doris' request, there will be no funeral. There will be a family memorial service at a later date. Our cherished memories of her will live on in our hearts. Donations may be made in Doris's memory to a charity of one's choice.
