Obituary of June Jeffs

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of June Jeffs at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK on Saturday December 30 at the age of 77.  She was residing for the past 5 years at Mont St Joseph Nursing Home with her husband Henry of 59 years.

June was born August 10, 1946, and was raised in Prince Albert, SK but later moved to the Village of Christopher Lake, SK when she married Henry Jeffs on Nov 21, 1964.  In 1974 they moved back to Prince Albert.  June worked in the cafeteria at the Prince Albert Co-op for several years and then to the Marlboro Hotel in housekeeping and laundry for several more years.  She loved to cook, bake, sew and play bingo!!

 June is lovingly remembered by her Husband, Henry; Son, Glen Jeffs; Daughter, Karen (Wayne) Hill, Granddaughter, Cheryl Jeffs and her children-Allyiah, Treycen, Carly, and Halle; Grandson, Bob Hill;  Her siblings, Sister, Pat (Dale) Petersen and their children Greg Marshall and his children, Gage and Reese; Amber Petersen; Davin (Haley) Petersen and their children, Cole, and Decker; Brother, Jack (Carmen) Huggins and their children-Dan, Will (Gen) and Julye; Sister, Kathy (Garry) Whitley; Sister, Liz (Steve) Shaw; her sister-in-law Rene (Ray) Neurauter and their children.

June was predeceased by her young daughter Sheryl Ann Marie Jeffs, parents, Clarence, and Jessie Huggins; Henry’s parents, Harry, and Emma Jeffs; sister-in-law Lottie (Charlie) Daughton; brother-in-law-Bill (Lynn) Jeffs.

A Celebration of June’s Life will be held in the spring.  Memorial donations in June’s memory may be made to the Rose Garden Hospice P.O. Box 2092 Prince Albert, SK S6V 1E0.  The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Mont St Jospeh Nursing home for their continued care over the past 5 year, and the nursing staff on the 5^th floor at the Victoria Hospital for their compassion and care of June in her final days!
