Obituary of Anne Levis

Levis, Anne - It is with sadness that the family of Anne Levis announces her passing on May 24, 2006 at the age of 87 in Spiritwood, SK. Anne was born September 28, 1918 to Joseph and Joanne Kinar. She had three sisters - Mary (Twordick), Joyce (Davies) and Helen (Bussiere) and a brother, Eugene. The family was raised on a farm near Meechum, SK, but in 1940, they moved to the Spiritwood homestead. In 1945 she met and married John Levis and they settled near Mildred. They raised two children, Leona and Jerome and all worked hard on the farm. Anne also worked at the Spiritwood Post Office for several years where she enjoyed meeting new people. She also put many hours of hard work into her beautiful flower garden which was enjoyed by all who came to visit. Leona's car accident took a big toll on Anne's life and she was extremely devoted to her care. Anne suffered a loss when John died in 1975. Jerome worked all over Canada and in several countries. A visit from Jerome and his children Trevor, Mathew, Brennan and Meagan was Anne's pride and joy. In February 2003, Leona became sick and died suddenly. The following year in May, Jerome passed away of cancer. Because of her many close friends and devoted grandchildren, she found peace and joy in her final days. Anne will be remembered & sadly missed by her grandchildren Trevor of Calgary, AB, Matthew of Calgary, AB, Meagan (Paulo) Kegles of Brazil and Brennan of Calgary, AB; her daughter in-law Bev of Kelowna, BC; her sister Joyce of Humboldt, SK and her brother Eugene of Humboldt, SK as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
