Obituary of Grant Gould

The family of Grant Gould are sad to announce that Grant passed away at St. Paul's Hospital on September 12, 2006 with family at his side. Grant was born in Prince Albert on December 10, 1938. He is survived by his wife of nearly 46 years, Vivian; a daughter Charlaine (Leon) Lindskog of Lloydminster, SK; Celynne of Calgary, AB; and a son Travis (Regine) Gould of Saskatoon, SK; grandchildren Jarvis, Taran and Dallas Lindskog, and Dylon, Presley and Jesse Gould; a sister Laura Wilson of Big River; brothers and sister in laws Larry (Lorna) Servatius of Kelowna, BC, Garry (Judy) Servatius of Lake Cowichan, BC, Diane (Jim Olson) of Kelowna, BC and Rocky (Lori) Servatius of Prince George, BC as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Grace and Bill Gould; brother Keith; mother and father in law Sylvia and Jack Servatius; sister in law Annette Servatius; and brother in law Max Wilson. Grant took his schooling in Big River, SK and worked for Peter Bawden Drilling, Max Wilson Trucking and was a Shell Oil agent for 33 years. He was a member of the Big River Braves hockey team, and a hard worker for the community. At one time, he was an active member of the B.P.O Elks of Big River, the Big River Board of Trade, a minor hockey coach, ball player and curler. He was an ardent hunter, trapper and fisherman. He and his wife loved to travel. The family would like to thank doctors Kappel, Klassen, Pylypchuk and Duval and the nurses from the Prince Albert and Saskatoon renal units for their care and compassion. A celebration of Grant's life was held in Big River at the Big River Community Centre at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday September 16, 2006. Interment took place at the Big River Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Big River New Hall Fund Box 85 Big River, SK S0J 0E0.
