Obituary of Dmetro Chyzowski

Dmetro Chyzowski 1922 – 2014 Education as for many at that time was secondary to the basic needs of earning and making a living. Dmetro went for a few years to Ranger School. As he got older, into his early teens, he went for a few years to work at different jobs in the winter and back to the farm in the spring to help his Dad with farming. Dmetro always held a love for the farm. The greatest joy he showed was when the grain was all in the bin in the fall. In 1954 he married Gladys and they moved to a farm of two quarters closer to Ranger. It was like starting to homestead again. They withstood the hardships of the beginning of the farming venture. With expansions, growth and perseverance they had a successful farming life. They retired and sold the farm in 1996 and moved to Spiritwood and have been there since. Dmetro enjoyed the basic things in life. He was not the venturous type. He was quite content to be at home. May he share eternal peace with Christ our Lord and may the memories of his time with us be never forgotten.
