Obituary of Dennis Barry Pocha

Mr. Dennis Pocha passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 66 at the Victoria Hospital on February 13th 2014. Dennis was a loving husband and wonderful father, he leaves to mourn his wife of 35 years Mary Pocha; his sons Jeff (Alanna) Crain, Darren Pocha (Monica Lucier), and Todd Pocha; his grandchildren, August Crain, Colby Crain, Bryce Crain, Teagan Crain, Madison Pocha & Maria Pocha; his brothers and sisters, Robert (Sharon) Pocha of Prince Albert, SK, Kathy (Jim) Owens of Prince Albert, SK , Don Pocha of Prince Albert, SK, Tim (Eileen) Pocha of Saskatoon, SK, Patty (Paul) Rimmer of Red Deer, AB; his half- sisters Rosemary Pocha, Joanne Pocha, 8 sisters-in-law , 5 brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Dennis was predeceased by his father Hubert Pocha, mother Norma Wilson (Stepfather - Stafford Wilson), brothers Gerald Pocha, Myles Pocha, Randy Pocha and half- brother Charles Pocha. Dennis was born in Saskatoon, he was raised mostly in Prince Albert where he continued to reside until his passing. He met Mary in September 1968 and they later married in July 1978. Dennis worked at the Northern lights Casino for over 15 years and retired in 2012, he loved his job and loved socializing with people, and it didn’t seem to matter where Dennis would go in Prince Albert, he was sure to run into someone he knew. Dennis enjoyed spending time with Mary going for drives, garage sailing, and visiting with his children but he especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren who were the light of his life. And of course he also loved his “Rider Football”. Dennis will forever be missed by his family and friends. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday June 20, 2014 at the South Hill Cemetery, Prince Albert, SK.
