Obituary of Maurice Arnold Thingelstad

Maurice Thingelstad 1939-2014 Maurice passed away peacefully on May 4, 2014 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK, following a short battle with cancer. He was born December 15, 1939 in Birch Hills, SK to Wilma & Edward Thingelstad of the Tiger Hill District. Maurice is survived by his brother Lyle; his sisters Jean, Shirley (Arvin), Marlene, Charotte (Boyd), and Patsy (William); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. Maurice was predeceased by his parents Wilma & Edward Thingelstad; his brothers Raymond and Dean Thingelstad; and special friends Milton MacDonald and Larry Weir. A special thank you for the kindness shown to Maurice by the staff at the Weldon Country Villa, his friends at the Weldon Silver Tone Club and the Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Birch Hills, and the caring staff on Level 5 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert. If friends so wish memorial donations in Maurice’s memory may be directed to The Weldon Country Villa. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 10 at 2:00pm at Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Birch Hills, SK with Pastor Rod Gabriel officiating.
