Obituary of Mae Friis Nielsen

Mae Friis Nielsen 1942- 2014 Mae passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on May 18, 2014. She was born May 4, 1942, the daughter of Paula and Soren Jensen. Mae was raised in the Redvers area. In 1961 she married the love of her life Edward Nielsen, together they welcomed 6 children into their lives. During their marriage they spent time on the Trapeline, in LaRonge, Redvers, and finally retiring to the White Star district only 5 years ago. She had a love for life, she enjoyed visiting with friends but most important to Mae was her family. Mae is survived by her children Mike (Norma), Lyle (Vicki), Darlene (Maurice) Bourassa, Lloyd (Suzie), Natalie (Todd) Thompson, Holly (Dave Bye); 25 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Mae was predeceased by her husband Edward; daughter Kathy; granddaughter Candice; grandson in infancy, and her parents Soren and Paula Jensen. A Private Family Service will be held.
