Obituary of Ronald Bryce Wasden

Ronald Bryce Wasden 1930 - 2014 Ronald, the first child born to Ernest and Ethel Wasden, born on October 24, 1930 in Nesbitt, MB. Within Ron’s first year the family moved to Mildred, homesteading south of Mildred in the Mirror Lake District. He took all his schooling at Mirror Lake School, after he completed school he worked in bush camps for many years. On March 20, 1964 he married Eileen Violet Wilkens, the daughter of George and Violet Wilkens of Norbury. At this time Ronald bought his parents farm and began farming. Eileen and Ronald had one son, Dale Ronald Wasden. Eileen and Ronald divorced in 1975. On March 12, 1977 Ronald married Christina Johnson (Tina Roth), Tina had seven children from her previous marriage. They stayed on the homestead until Dale took over, Ron and Tina retired and moved to an acreage east of Mildred. In the fall of 2006 they bought a house in Spiritwood where they resided until Ron’s passing. Ron, like his father had Parkinson disease. Ronald leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 37 years, Lillian “Tina”, his children: Dale (Brenda) and his son, Bryce, Dorothy (Allan), Marilyn (Robert), Carolyn (Dave), Ervin (Elaine), Jackie (Red), Verna (Ted), Bev (Bill), Sandra, his sister, Florence Primeau, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ron is predeceased by: his parents, Ernest and Ethel Wasden, and his sister, Muriel. A Celebration of Life was held on Thursday, July 10th, 2014, at the Civic Center in Spiritwood, Saskatchewan. Memorial Donations may be made in honor of Ron to the Parkinson’s Association.
