Obituary of Leonard Garry Zinovich

Leonard Zinovich 1944 - 2014 Leonard Garry Zinovich, age 69 passed away peacefully on July 24, 2014 at Dore Lake, Saskatchewan, his favourite place in the world. Len was born on October 30, 1944, in Prince Albert. He was the second child of Emil and Alexandra Zinovich. Len spent his entire life in Big River, Saskatchewan, and was very proud to call this wonderful community his home. He owned and operated Len's Trucking Ltd., Len's Gas Bar and was a journeyman carpenter, apprenticing under his father. On May 16, 1969, Len married the love of his life, Vivian. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this year. Len and Viv raised three beautiful children, Brock (Anna), Robert (Celina), Aimee (Orry). Len adored his three grandchildren: Kathleen, Grayson and Ayla. His whole family misses him dearly. The love and support we have felt has been overwhelming and wonderful. Len leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 45 years, Vivian, his children:Brock (Anna), Grande Prairie, AB, Robert (Celina) and children, Kathleen & Grayson, Big River, SK, Aimée (Orry) Knoll and daughter, Ayla, Francis, SK, his siblings and their families: Helen Vik, Ken (Mavis) Zinovich, his brothers-in-law and their families: Robert (Sandra) Fontaine, Alex Fontaine, Stan (Sandra) Fontaine, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends. Len is predeceased by: his parents, Emil and Alexandra Zinovich, his parents-in-law, Gerry and Kay Fontaine, his brother-in-law, Bert Vik, his sister-in-law, Joan Fontaine Scott A Celebration of Life was held on Thursday, July 31st, 2014 at the Big River Community Hall. Honorary Pallbearers were “The Shop Crew”, those who worked for or with Len and all family and friends who shared in Len’s life.
