Obituary of Bibiane Blais

Bibiane Blais 1935 - 2014 Bibiane grew up on a farm in Victoire, Sk. Her parents were Arthur & Leonie Tremblay. She was able to complete her grade 11 at the convent in St Louis before returning home to help her parents on the farm. As a young girl she loved riding horses and playing ball. There wasn’t a girl’s team so she played first base on the men’s team with her brothers and cousins. Bibiane met Denis Blais at a local wedding and they courted for 4 years then married on Oct. 15, 1956. They raised a family of 9 children on a farm near Debden. Their farm consisted of grain and dairy. Bibiane was involved with the Ladies Club, coaching fastball & the church. Once she retired she also busied herself with the Golden Age Club as president, maintaining the Fatima War Memorial grounds and the sacristine @ the church. She loved gardening, and sharing the fruits of its labor with all her children and grandchildren with pickles, jams, pies, & canned vegetables. She also was known for her buns, chocolate pies and cookies. Bibiane planted her garden this spring with great anticipation. Unfortunately her health started to give her problems, which stopped her from being able to tend to it. After a summer of no improvement she was hospitalized. Bibiane spent 2 weeks @ the University hospital before passing on. She was diagnosed with Cancer.
