Obituary of Hardis Pauline Sjostrom

Hardis Pauline Sjostrom 1920 – 2014 Hardis passed away on September 17, 2014 at her home in Prince Albert, SK. Mom was born and raised in Hawarden, SK. Since she was the eldest of 11 children she learned responsibility and hard work at an early age. After obtaining her teacher’s certificate, she was called to teach at Northern Light School. She married Ted in 1947 and became involved with the Lutheran Church and also in the community. Shortly after Dad’s passing she moved to an apartment in Prince Albert, where she resided until her passing. Hardis is lovingly remembered by her children Lynda Parker, Bernard Sjostrom, Lorna (Dennis) Harwood, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandson, her 3 sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Hardis was predeceased by her husband Ted, son-in-law Bruce, a sister and 7 brothers. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Graveside Service will be held at Bethania Lutheran Cemetery, Northern Light, SK on September 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Iris Kristjansdottir officiating.
