Girlie was born on January 14th, 1955 on Big River First Nation. Girlie is lovingly survived by: Her daddy, Louis George Morin; Her husband, Isidore Lachance; Her children: ~ Derrick (Connie M.) Lachance, Big River FN; ~ Colin Lachance, Big River FN; ~ Gary (Twyla W.) Lachance, Pelican Lake FN; ~ Sheryl (Stewart M.) Lachance, Big River FN; ~ Dwayne Lachance, Big River FN ; ~ Tommy (Alfreda B.) Lachance, Big River FN ; ~ Emily Lachance, Big River FN ; ~ Bobby Lachance, Big River FN; ~ Calvin (Veronica R.) Lachance, Big River FN; ~ Carla Lachance, Big River FN; ~ Charmaine Lachance, Big River FN; 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild ; Her brothers: Mervin McAdam, Sandy Isbister, Gerald Morin, Myles Keenatch, Felix Keenatch, Douglas (Coralie) Keenatch, Larry (Diane C.) She is predeceased by her: Mother, Edna Isbister; Daughter, Sylvia Lachance; Grandparents, Sandy and Grace McAdam; Uncle and aunt, John and Margaret Keenatch; Uncle, Charlie McAdam; Auntie, Mary Ann McAdam; Best friend and sister-in-law, Annie Morin; Father-in-law, Thomas Weenosis ; Brothers-in-law, Patrick Lachance, William Lachance, Robert Bush and Lawrence Weenosis. The Wake Services for Girlie commenced on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. from the Big River First Nation Band Hall. The Funeral Service for Girlie took place on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. starting from the Band Hall and then moving to the Sacred Heart RC Church on Big River First Nation for Mass with Father Sebastian Kunnath. Interment took place in the Whitefish Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers were "Her Special Friends." Eliza McAdam, Mary Jane Roy, Leona Morin, Stella Patayken, Sophia & Tom Rainey, Cecilia Whitefish, William Kahpeechoose, Freda McAdam, Matilda Keenatch and Yvonne Morin. Pallbearers were Bryan Morin , Sam Rabbitskin , Howard Morin, Frankie Lachance, Robert Bear, Lenny Dreaver, Berno Bear, and William Kahpeechoose. Girlie's Final Resting Place will be in the Whitefish Anglican Cemetery.
