Obituary of Bertha Antoinette Larocque

It is with deep sadness that the family of Bertha Larocque announces her passing on November 27, 2006 at the age of 76. Bertha was born on November 8, 1930 in Victoire, SK. She lived in Pascal, SK, Leoville, SK, Prince Albert, SK and in May 2006 moved to McDougall Wings Care Home in St. Louis, SK. Bertha enjoyed the outdoors, playing bingo & cards, listening to and tapping her toe to fiddle music, especially when her son Tony played. She was very proud of Tony. She loved going on drives with Tony & Cindy this past year visiting with family and old neighbors. She also enjoyed her visits with Sisters Angeline and Helene at the Sisters Of Providence in Saskatoon, SK. Bertha will be remembered and sadly missed by her son Tony (Cindy) Larocque of Brandon, MB, sister Yvonne (Walter) Umkehrer of Swan River, MB, brothers Hercules (Cora) Larocque of Christopher Lake, SK and Ray (Dorothy) Larocque of Saskatoon, SK, her sister in laws Yvette Larocque of Leoville, SK and Lil Larocque of Red Deer, AB. As well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Frank & Marie Larocque, a sister Rose (Ray) Paul, brothers Louis, Albert and Andrew (Lucille). The funeral service was held on Saturday December 2, 2006 at 2pm from the Notre Dame des Victoires Roman Catholic Church in Victoire, SK with Rev. Fr. Vincent Karatunga officiating. Music was provided by Gilles Francouer and Lorna Parent. The crossbearer was Janet Umkehrer. Active pallbearers were Arnold Larocque, Lenard Larocque, Dean Larocque, Lyle Larocque, Claude Parent and Donald Parent. Honorary Pallbearers were all relatives and friends who shared in Bertha's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Victoire Cemetery. Bertha was laid to rest in the Victoire Cemetery.
