Dear Lucy and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Art was one of those people who will be visibly missed in our community. Anytime you saw him he had a smile and time to visit. He was such a kind man. Even when he was in pain from his neck and back injury he had a smile for you. He had an impact on many children in Leoville as well through the arena. One such young adult now said to me "Art was a big part of my childhood". I always admired him for his love of his kids and grandchildren especially. So proud and vocal of his love and pride for them. I will always remember him as the man who proclaimed his love and admiration of his wife the most. His Lucy was his everything. I am so glad to have known him. We will miss him too. May you find peace in the legacy he has left behind. It is not what we take when we leave this world it is what we leave behind. We will always remember the fond memories Art has given us over the years. In all the years of knowing Art I never once saw him without a smile on his face or in a bad mood. He always brightened a persons day with his positive outlook and good nature.
Please accept our deepest condolences, Art will be missed in the community that is for sure! Known for his quick wit and humor. My kids remember him when he looked after the arena for many years. Hugs to you all!
