Obituary of Gordon Jerome Thompson

Gordon Thompson 1929-2015 Gordon Jerome Thompson passed away April 22, 2015 after a brief hospital stay in Prince Albert. He was 85 years old. Gordon was born on June 24th, 1929. He is survived by his two sons, Terry (Susan) and Ted, his two grandsons, Craig and Devyn and a sister Trudy (Larry), as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and countless friends. He finished school in Spiritwood and then took a business course in Prince Albert. He worked in his dad’s garage, then Ford Motor Company in Regina and then the Searle Grain Company. He met and married Shirley Aldridge on August 15th, 1956. He worked for the RM of Spiritwood for twenty three years. In 1979, he retired from the RM. He started his own business, Thompson Agencies. He was fortunate to be able to go to work every day. He will be sadly missed by his family, Thompson Agencies’ staff, his travel buddies and friends. The funeral service in honor of Gordon was held on Monday the 27th of April 2015 at the Spiritwood Civic Center with Delores Beaulac officiating. Patty Heisler was the soloist. His grandson Craig Thompson gave the Eulogy. The Spiritwood Lion’s Club formed an honor guard. His grandson Devyn Thompson was the urn bearer.
