Obituary of Albert Charles Fee

ALBERT FEE 1943 - 2015 “Don’t think of him as gone away, his journeys just begun” It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert Fee. Albert was born on September 4, 1943 at home in Idylwild District, the second of twins to Doris and Raymond Fee. He passed away in the early morning hours of April 29, 2015 in North Battleford Hospital at the age of 71 with his wife Irene by his side. Albert left behind a lifetime of special memories to be cherished by his family and all who knew him. He had the gift of giving and helped anyone in need. He was always willing to lend a hand, and his love for his family was immeasurable. His teasing nature made him a magnet to children and his fondness of them created bonds that lasted from childhood into adulthood for many. Albert met Irene Heyden at a dance in Spiritwood some 52 years ago. It would have been their 50th year of marriage in August of this year. They were blessed with two daughters Shelley Buchan (Brent) and Sheryl Ludwig (Reed). Grandchildren Carrington, Jamie and Lanny Buchan and Brett and Larissa Ludwig will miss his loving teasing and fun and adventurous ways. His father Ray Fee also is mourning his loss and living with fond memories. Albert started his work life at the age of 15 as a farm hand, worked a season in Red Lake Ontario as a boat taxi driver and then returned to farm hand work when he met Irene. He worked at JJ Palmers and son for a considerable time then started into road construction work; he drove heavy road equipment and got his heavy duty mechanic license about 1969. This work spanned Alberta and Saskatchewan and they moved permanently to Saskatchewan in the fall of 1973 where he worked for CCIL, the RM, Beretta Pipeline, Pineview Service in 1986 and then Cameco Mine in 1997 up until his retirement. He loved all the outdoors had to offer. Fishing, camping, woodworking, hunting, quadding and teaching his dog tricks were some of his favorite pastimes over the years along with visiting others and having coffee. A Celebration of Life was held May 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Spiritwood Civic Centre. Internment will take place at a later date at Peaceful Pines Cemetery.
