Obituary of Kate Gloria Smith

Smith, Kate Gloria (nee: Slepenko) 1918 - 2015 Kate was born in Kleczkowski (near Hafford) on December 1st, 1918 and she passed away on June 24th, 2015 in Leoville, at the age of 96. Kate played on a girl’s ball team when she was in school. At the age of 17 she married David Smith from Arelee. They were married for 45 years on September 12, 1981. David passed in February of 1982. She belonged to the Rebekah Lodge, was a member for many years, she was also a member of the seniors club. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, picking berries and travelling. Kate enjoyed and loved her family, her children, grandchildren, and great grand children. She was a very generous and loving with all her family and friends. If she had something to say( that maybe wasn’t to your liking) she said it anyway. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday the 11th day of July, 2015 from the Community Hall in Chitek Lake, SK. For those wishing, Memorial Donation's in memory of Kate may be directed to the Evergreen Health Center Auxiliary.
