It is with extreme sadness that we say goodbye to our dear husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Joseph passed away on July 15, 2015 peacefully in his sleep. Joe was born March 18, 1928 in Claytonville, SK. As a young man he worked at various jobs throughout Canada. He met the love of his life Stella Lucasavich in 1952 and they were married 1953. Joe was a carpenter most of his life and some of his greatest accomplishments were building Holy Cross School and North Gate Mall. Joe is survived by his wife Stella; his daughter Brenda (Mike) Popil and their children Dean (Tara) Popil and their family Madelyn and Emerson; Brady (Paige) Popil and their son Kohen; and Regan Popil; his son Brian Podhorodeski and his children Heidi Bochek (Brad Lemoigannan) and her daughter Avry; and Shaun Podhorodeski; his brother Peter Podhorodeski; his sisters- in-law Elsie Margeson, and Anne Andrews; his brother- in- law Walter (Maxine) Lucasavich and numerous other relatives and friends. Joe was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Pauline Podhorodeski; his brother Walter (Joan) Podhorodeski; his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Gordon Margeson, Fanny Podhorodeski, and Gabe Andrews. Going for coffee and playing cards were two of Joe’s greatest passions, “seven no” or giving somebody a “skunk” were on his list of fantastic fun. Dad also loved all the small animals that became part of his family over the years. Rest in peace Dad, we love you.
