Obituary of Violet Grace Herbel

Violet Grace Herbel 1925 - 2015 Surrounded by her loving family Violet passed peacefully on July 31st, 2015 at the age of 89 years. Violet is lovingly remembered and dearly missed by: Her children: Diana Herbel of Choiceland, SK, Marilyn (Wayne) Lewry of Calgary, AB, Dolly Gardner of Prince Albert, SK, Lorraine (Wayne) Fredin of Kamloops, BC, her grandchildren: Darin (Lonnie) Herbel, Tammy (Warren) Blair,Timothy Rodocker, Greg (Joy) Lewry, David Lewry, Nathan (Zilla) Lewry,Kim (Chuck) Blackburn, Teena (Cory) Clark and Chris (Lori) Fredin, her great grandchildren: Adam, Wade, Kyle, Andrew, Andrea, Devin, Joshua, Jameson, MollyAnne, Celeste, Paige, Kolbe, Danielle, Ethan, Eaven and Shay, her sister, Elma Heffley of Swift Current, SK numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends. She is predeceased by: Her loving husband, Lawrence (2004), her son-in-law, Jim Gardner, her grandson, Shawn Fredin, her parents, Andrew and Molly Steinle, her siblings, Clarence and Wilmer. Violet's Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 from the Legion Hall in Spiritwood, SK, with the interment taking place in the Spiritwood Cemetery. Family and friends were a very important part of Violet’s life. She enjoyed giving back to the community by volunteering at the Visitor’s Booth and being active with the Legion as an auxiliary member. Violet looked forward to the visits from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Donations in memory of Violet (in lieu of flowers) may be made to the Alzheimer Wing in the Spiritwood Health Complex.
