Obituary of Terry Allan Jacob Hegland

Terry Allan Jacob Hegland It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Terry Allan Jacob Hegland, age 69, on September 22, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Terry was born on April 15, 1946 to parents Jacob and Hazel Hegland in Birch Hills, SK. He attended Winton School for the first 4 years and then took the rest of his schooling in Birch Hills. In 1975 Terry met and married the love of his life, Iris Hunt and they were blessed with two children. From a very young age all Terry ever wanted to do was farm, and enjoyed every minute of it; first with his father then his wife and his children. He farmed 48 years in the Birch Hills district and after retirement they moved to Osler to be closer to family. Terry was a fun, compassionate, caring man who enjoyed all things from big to small but his three greatest loves were Jesus, his Lord and Saviour, his family and his farm. Terry is lovingly cherished and remembered by his wife of 39 years Iris; his children, Jeff (Hansi) Hegland and Melissa (Carter) MacLeod; his five grandchildren Hunter, Hannah & Jaida Hegland and Presley & Taya MacLeod; his two sisters Helen (Dale) Bassingthwaighte, and Lila (Don) Walls; his sister-in- law Sharon (Stan) Csuti and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob & Hazel Hegland and is father-in-law and mother-in-law Floyd & Annie Hunt.
