Obituary of Michael Duane Paulton

Michael “Mike” Duane Paulton Nov. 30th, 1957 – Nov. 6th, 2015 Mike died suddenly in his home at Chitek Lake, SK on Friday November 6th at the age of 57. For the past 36 years Mike worked at the Key Lake mine as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Mike married the love of his life, Leona Wiens, on May 15, 1982. They raised their two girls, Amy and Amanda, in Chitek Lake where Mike thoroughly enjoyed living. He loved to go snowmobiling, build speakers and spoil his grandchildren. Mike had an original sense of humour and was meticulous in everything he did. We give glory and praise to God for Mike's life. He was dedicated and devoted to his family and he will be dearly missed. Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years, Leona, his daughters: Amy(Chuck) Ewert and their children- Laurenne and Arella; Amanda Paulton, his Mother Anita Paulton, his sister Lorrie(Harvey) Surprenant, his nieces: Larissa(Ryan) Heisler, Candra Surprenant(Jonathon Matzner), numerous other relatives and countless friends. Mike was predeceased by his father Michael Paulton. Funeral Service in honor of Mike was held on Friday, November 13th, 2015 at 2:00pm from the Community Hall in Chitek Lake SK. A private family interment will take place at a later date in the Peaceful Pines Cemetery.
