Obituary of Ivar Ernest Peter Everitt

Ivar Everitt 1940- 2016 It is with great sadness that the family of Ivar announces his sudden passing at his home on March 16, 2016. Ivar Ernest Peter Everitt was born October 1, 1940 in Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan. Ivar grew up in the Twin Bay area and attended high school in Spirtwood, Saskatchewan. He worked as a laborer for several farmers, as well as a meat cutter and hotel manager in Northern Saskatchewan. When his fathers’ health became poor Ivar returned home to live on the family farm with his parents and farm the land. Ivars father (Monty) passed away June 18, 1976. Ivar took great pride in any task he undertook. Ivar worked for the Beuker brothers seed farm for over forty years while farming his own land. He was hard working, reliable and loyal to his employer. He enjoyed gardening and berry picking; often senior neighbors would enjoy gifts from Ivars labors. Ivar also enjoyed drawing pictures and loved reading. Children were very important to Ivar and he was always home for the Halloween visitors. When his mother became unable to care for herself he remained a loving caretaker to her until her passing July 12, 2002. The peace and quiet of farm life very much appealed to Ivar up until his last days. Ivar was a great friend, Uncle, Brother and Son and he will be dearly missed by all. Predeceased by: Father- Armstrong Montgomery Everitt, (Monty) , Mother- Margaret May Everitt (Campbell), Brother- Montie William Everitt Ivar leaves to mourn his passing; Brothers; Wesley Everitt, Frank (Kathy) Everitt, Sister; Mabel Litowski, Nephews; Curtis Everitt, Chris (Meagan) Brookes, Calvin (Brenda) Everitt, Chad (Rhianna) Everitt, Ryan Everitt (Natasha McGreish), Shawn (Michellle) Kirouac, Nieces; Marla (Erik) Bjorgan, Sandy (Steve) Tozer, Kerrie Vockeroth (Darren Doherty) and a number of great nieces, nephews, also many cousins in the Booker family. A Celebration of Ivar’s Life will be held Saturday May 21st at 1:00pm from the Partners in Faith Church in Spiritwood with Pastor David Jenson officiating.
