Obituary of Bernie Christopher Kilden
KILDEN – Bernie
Bernie Christopher Kilden was born on January 28, 1945 in Domremy, SK., to John and Alice Kilden. Bernie was raised by his foster parents Ted and Ellen Westin from Stump Lake, SK. until he was 16 years old. He then moved to Fox Creek, AB. to work on the oil rigs. Bernie met Adeline Arcand in 1968 in Debden, SK. and they were married in 1971. They moved to Fox Creek, AB. and lived and worked for a few more years and then moved to LaRonge, SK., in 1974. That is where they had their son, Kelvin in 1979. In 1983 they moved to the Stump Lake area where they presently reside. Bernie loved hunting, fishing, camping and trapping or basically just anything outdoors. In 1984 he established a trap line and built a cabin on it in 1985. He had help from family and friends to get it built. By far, the trap line was Bernie’s favorite passion and he “Has the Scrolls to prove it!”
Bernie became a Grandpa in 2009 to Tori Lakevold and Brody Kilden. He was so proud of his grandchildren and spent as much time as he could with them. The Grandchildren, nieces and nephews remember and will cherish the many memorable trips fishing and camping with Grandpa.
Bernie will be forever missed but lovingly remembered by ; his wife, Adeline (nee: Arcand) Kilden of Stump Lake, SK., his son; Kelvin (Amber) Kilden of Rimbey, AB., and their children, Tori and Brody; his sister, Sylvia Lawrence of Edmonton, AB; his two brothers, Clarence Kilden of Surrey, BC and Reg (Barbara) Kilden of Oliver Lake, BC.; his twin nephews, Corey and Ron; and his niece, Kerry Lynn; 11 siblings-in-law, as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, other relatives and many friends.
