Obituary of Cecilia Masuskapoe

Cecilia Masuskapoe 1918 - 2016 With broken hearts the family of Cecilia Masuskapoe late of Whispering Pine Place, sadly announce her passsing on June 10, 2016 at the age of 98 years. Cecilia was born on February 3, 1918 on Whitefish First Nation to Elizabeth and Paul Rabbitskin. The Wake Services for Cecilia commenced on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. from the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Band Hall. The Funeral Service took place on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Band Hall with Pastor Alex Sasakamoose officiating. Delores Sand shared the eulogy, honorary pallbearers were John George Rabbitskin, Fred Sasakamoose, Lawrence Greyeyes, Eval Laivire, Delores Sand, Eliza Sasakamoose, and Roslalie Genereaux. The active pallbearers were Sam, Lester, Hubert, Allan, and Brian Masuskapoe, and Jerry Hyman. Cecilia was laid to rest in the St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery. She is lovingly survived by her siblings, John Rabbitskin, Margaret Rabbitskin, Josephine Smallboy, Isabella Smallboy; her children, Irene Hyman, David Masuskapoe, Frank (June) Masuskapoe, George Masuskapoe, Edward (Clara) Masuskapoe, Mervin Masuskapoe, Randy Masuskapoe, Linda Smith, Leo Masuskapoe, and Leslie Badger; her special great grandchild Lucas Masuskapoe; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Cecilia was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Elizabeth Rabbitskin; her husband Thomas Masuskapoe; her children, Ernest Dean, Samson, Archie, Lee Burton, Driscella and Sylvia Masuskapoe.
