Obituary of Lionel Van Johnston

Mr. Lionel Van Johnston 1968 - 2016 With heavy hearts the family of Lionel Van Johnston, late of Mistawasis First Nation, sadly announce his sudden passing on September 11, 2016 at the age of 47 years. The Wake for Lionel commenced on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. at the Mistawasis Family Centre. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Family Centre. Interment will be held at a later date. Lionel is lovingly survived by, his children, Heather Johnston (Brandon Wolfe); Brittany Johnston; Nolan Johnston, and Owen Johnston; his mother Lorna Johnston; the mother of his children Loretta; his siblings, Merle (Wendy) Johnston; Delores (Mel) Werchola; Dean Johnston; Shirley Johnston; Sharun (Daryl) Johnston; Kim (Kevin) Bear; Carmen Johnston; Lori Johnston; Gail Johnston; Andrea (Steven) Dumais; and Carrie Johnston. Lionel is predeceased by his father Gordon Johnston; his brother Owen (John) Johnston; his sisters Pauline, Karen, Myrna, Cora, Wanda, Daryllea, and Marie; his grandparents Jack and Annie Isbister; and Soloman and Mary Johnston.
