Billy James Thomas March 27, 1977 - October 29, 2016 With deep sorrow the family of Billy James Thomas announce that he passed away suddenly on October 29, 2016 at the age of 39. Billy was born to Cora (nee: Roy) and Willie Thomas on March 27, 1977. Billy is lovingly remembered by: his wife, Charlene Thomas of Pelican Lake First Nation and their children: Joseph Thomas, Nathaniel "Malachi" Thomas, Courtney Thomas, and Hope "Peaches" Thomas; his other children: Keisha Sakebow and Brandon Sakebow; his parents, Cora and Willie Thomas of Pelican Lake First Nation; his brothers and sisters: David Thomas of Pelican Lake First Nation, Willie Thomas Jr. (Amber) of Prince Albert, SK, Chelsea Thomas (Kurt Bill) of Pelican Lake First Nation and Amanda Thomas (Lyndon Thomas) of Leoville, SK. Billy is also survied by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by: his maternal grandparents, Betty and George Roy and his paternal grandparents, Margaret "Rose" and Gilbert Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are all his family and friends who knew and loved Billy. Pallbearers for Billy are: Leigh Thomas, Allan Thomas, Frederick Johnstone "Chubz", Christopher Rabbitskin, Roger Lewis and Jeffery Murray. The wake service for Billy began at 8:00PM on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Pelican Lake First Nation Band Hall. The funeral service for Billy will commence at 12:00PM on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Pelican Lake First Nation Band Hall. Interment will follow in the Pelican Lake First Nation Cemetery.
