Obituary of Kim Thomas Ruszkowski

Kim Ruszkowski 1962- 2016 Kim Thomas Ruszkowski passed away peacefully, with family by his side on Friday, December 9, 2016, following a long courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Prince Albert, Kim was a million-mile trucker, carrying on the family tradition of trucking for the past 38 years. Kim drove long-haul trucks and logging trucks in the forest industry. Kim was passionate about all sports, especially hockey, being an avid Prince Albert Raiders fan. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and horseback riding. Kim also loved country cruising, family ski trips and the rodeo. Kim is survived by his mother Carmen Ruszkowski, his oldest brother Michael (Karen) and their children Bradley (Lydia), Ryan and Michelle, his brother Don (Cheryl) and his sons Dustin and Dallas, followed by his sister "Big Sis" Donna Fiala (Dan) and her children Cayle (Matt) and Cody as well as "Little Sis-Care Bear", Carolyn Plewis and his best friend Dale Plewis; and lastly by his baby brother Marty (Diane) and their children Luke and Paige and his two favourite dogs Duke and Buddy. He was predeceased by his father Tom Ruszkowski and Tom's partner "Lovey" Ruby Kosik and his sister-in-law Lorelei Ruszkowski. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, December 23, 2016 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Parish, 589- 9th Street East with Father Jim Kaptein officiating. Interment will follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in Kim’s memory may be directed to the Prince Albert Raiders Hockey Fund, 690- 32nd Street East Prince Albert, SK S6V 2W8.
