Obituary of Laurent Suteau

Laurent Suteau 1932-2017 The family of Mr. Laurent Leon Suteau wish to announce his passing on the 21st day of January 2017 at the age of 84 years. Together with twin sister Louise, Lawrence was the youngest of 5 children born to Laurent and Marie Suteau who both immigrated to the Spiritwood area, from France. He was born on a farm near Laventure, SK. At the age of 27 he married Marie Antoinette Yvonne Vandale on May 10, 1960. They went on to have 7 children; Richard and Lorraine born in Meadow lake, SK; Larry and Ron born in Hazelton, BC; Mark and Dennis born in Spiritwood, SK; and Edward born in North Battleford, SK. Over the years he worked as a heavy equipment operator, heavy equipment mechanic, millwright, log feller & sawyer. Lawrence loved hunting and fishing as hobbies which also helped feed his family. He was a man with a strong sense of responsibility, honest and dependable, and generous with his time and abilities. Lawrence had a quick wit and was ingenious in problem solving during challenging situations. Above all he loved and provided for his family unfailingly. He will be remembered by: His devoted wife of almost 57 years, Marie Suteau; his children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren: Richard (Marlene) Suteau, Grande Prairie AB, Mitchell Suteau, Meadow Lake SK, Gail, Kiara, Naomi, Melanie, & Launa, Heidi (Alex) Kennedy, Edmonton AB; Lorraine (Peter) Mansuy, Meadow Lake SK, Colette (Adam) Martin, Bawley Point NSW Australia, Gabriel Mansuy, Saskatoon SK, Locke, Lycaon, & October; Larry (Patricia) Suteau, Bonnyville AB, Trevor Suteau, Edmonton AB, Shayla (Jesse) Kulchitsky, Calmar AB; Ron (Faye) Suteau, Meadow Lake AB, Ashley (Jay) Sereda, Martensville SK, Darris Mckellar, Meadow Lake SK, Amanda (Colton) Quong, Meadow Lake SK, Makaila Quong; Mark Suteau, Saskatoon SK, Sean Boucher-Suteau, Saskatoon SK; Dennis (Michelle) Suteau, Saskatoon SK, Mahekan Greyeyes-King, Hanalei Suteau; Edward Suteau, Saskatoon SK, Rhiannon Suteau, Saskatoon SK. His twin sister, Louise Doucette, Valleyview AB. And many other loving relatives and friends. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Civic Center in Spiritwood.
