So sorry for your loss Yvonne and family. I spoke with your Mom on the phone many, many times when she would call for you. Then one day she came to my house to bring me her homemade bread and said, "Hi, I'm Yvonne's Mom," and gave me a big hug. I will always remember her, such a kind and thoughtful lady.

We were sorry to learn of Alma's passing. Laureen and I remember her from coming over to the Salvation Army and making bisuits. The Katimavik girls wanted to learn her recipe and were frustrated with "a pinch" of this and "a dab" of that and then flour to texture. First off, they didn't understand "pinches" and so on. Secondly, they wanted exact measurements and it isn't possible with some of these recipes.
She was very friendly and helpful when she was over and we enjoyed hearing stories of what was going on.
