Obituary of Olga Elliott

Olga Elliott November 26, 1932 – March 6, 2017 It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Olga Elliott (nee Leskewich). Olga was the loving wife of Ken Elliott for 61 years. Over their lifetime together, they lived in enough towns across Saskatchewan to fill a couple of lifetimes, as Ken was a station agent with CN. From the humble beginnings in Jasmin, Saskatchewan where she was born in 1932, Olga was the daughter of George (Constanty), and Nellie (Anastasia) Leskewich. Olga is predeceased by both parents, and one brother (stillborn). She also lost her eldest son, Stephen in 2004. Olga was the eldest of the 5 kids. She is survived by sisters Francis, and Gloria (Don), and brother Dwayne (Barb). She also leaves behind her husband Ken, and their 3 surviving kids, David (Brenda), Donna (Tom), and Jason (Kristie). Olga also has 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Olga enjoyed numerous roles in her life as mother, care aide, and customer service clerk with Sears. She also enjoyed belonging to the ACT ladies, as well as, other similar organizations. In her later years she enjoyed delivering meals on wheels with Ken. She was a lot like her mother in that her stove was always on, and the table was always set. Truly there was a Ukrainian feeling in the house. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11th, at 4:00 p.m. at Calvary United Church, 114 - 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating. Refreshments to follow in the hall. Memorial donations in Olga’s memory may be directed to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan 1231 - 8 Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5.
