To all the family of Mrs. Funk. As a teacher she earned the respect to be called this. Although she was tough she was also a lot of fun. I remember her coming in to our classroom once and reading to us one of those stories where they switch the 1st letter. She had tears running down her face laughing so hard trying to read! Also I remember the time I was given a punishment to write an esssy for the next day. I wrote on how kids were expected to come to school and sit x amount of minutes every day and many other weird statistics of a school day. After she had read it and shared it in the teachers lounge.I was given a sly smile but no comments. I took that as a good sign. She was a good friend in the years after school, always ready for a good chat when we met in town. I will miss her and remember her with good memories. To you Mr. Funk thank-you for being a great bus driver!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I did not know Elsie, but she seemed like a wonderful, thoughtful and caring person. I am a good friend of Bernies, and my heart aches for him and his family at this truly difficult time. May you all find love and strength in one another. Celebrate Elsies' life, and remember all the good times, memories and lessons she bestowed upon each and every one of you. R.I.P Elsie, watch over your loved ones, until you meet again.
