Obituary of Elsie Duck

ELSIE DUCK 1921 - 2017 It is with deep regret that the family of Elsie Duck announce her passing on Friday, June 9, 2017 in the Parkland Integrated Health Center -Shellbrook at the age of 96 years. Elsie was born on April 14, 1921 to Maude and Alfred Barber on the homestead in the D'Amour district. She was the third child in a family of seven. Elsie married Walter Duck in 1945 and settled in the Meadow Grove District. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her; Daughter - in - law, Carol and her family, Foster daughter Leona and her family, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Elsie was predeceased by; her husband, Walter Duck, her son, Barry Duck, her parents, Alfred and Maude Barber, brothers, Chris, Stanley, and Alfred, sisters, Doris, Muriel and Marjorie. The funeral was held in St. Henry’s Roman Catholic Church in Leask, SK. at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14th with Reverend Michael Chase officiating. The Eulogist was Rodney Barber. The Pallbearers were Max Jupe, Jack Day, Gary Peake, Marvin Betker, Rodney Barber, Gordon Harris. The Organist was Mary Stocker. Memorial donations in memory of Elsie may be made to; All Saint's Anglican Church in Leask or to the choice of the donor. The interment was in Leask Cemetery.
