Obituary of Norma Agrey

It is with deep sadness that the family of Norma Agrey announces her passing, at the age of 72, on Dec 31, 2007 at St Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon. Norma was born on March 11, 1935 in Ordale, SK and grew up there on the farm. She married Orville Agrey of Parkside on October 4th, 1958 and together they farmed and raised 3 children, Raymond, Cindy, and Cathy. Norma was involved in the Parkside Lutheran Church, the Seniors Group, and many other community events. Norma loved gardening, her flowers, and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered as a great cook and a very sincere person, with a loving and giving personality and incredible faith. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 49 years, Orville of Parkside, her son, Raymond (Shirley) Agrey of Parkside and their children, Amanda, Stephanie, Tyler and Chad, two daughters, Cindy (Normand) Painchaud of Saskatoon and their children, Renae and Michael, and Cathy (Rodney) Marchessault of Shamrock, SK and their children, Beckie and Jason, her sister, Edna Tunem, her brother, Olaf (Selma) Olson, her sisters-in-law, Eileen Martin and Margaret Agrey, and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Nick and Josie Olson, two infant brothers, her in-laws, Willie and Mary Agrey; Agnes Agrey, sisters in-law, Mildred Tuttroen, Emma Agrey, and Clarice Martin, brothers in-law, John Tunem, Marvin Agrey, Bud Tuttroen, Wallace Agrey, and Pat Martin. Funeral Services were held on January 4th, 2008 at Parkside Lutheran Church with Pastor Chris Dean officiating. Eulogy was read by Cindy Painchaud. Pianist was Janet Grey and violinist was Sarah Harrington. Special music was by the Ordale Singers. Honorary Pallbearers were 'All of Norma's family and friend who knew and loved her.' Active Pallbearers were Orin Olson, Bill Agrey, Rick Agrey, Bill Tuttroen, Randy Martin, and Bradley Agrey. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donation may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Parkside, Shellbrook and District Health Services Project, or the Canadian Cancer Society. Final resting place is the Parkside Cemetery.
