Forbes “Gordon” Gibb
January 12, 1932 – November 21, 2017
Gordon passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. He was born on January 12, 1932, and lived in Prince Albert his entire life.
His work career was in the lumber industry including the box factory, the timber board, and finally retired after years of service with the Prince Albert Co-op lumber yard. He was also involved in the Militia First North Saskatchewan Regiment, and the 44th battery for 17 years.
Gordon and Kathleen enjoyed many summers camping at Candle Lake visiting and chatting with family and friends.
In the past year he enjoyed Dale Anne taking him to visit his wife in Pineview Lodge, shopping, and to the One Stop Restaurant.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 65 years Kathleen; his sons, Gordie (Pat) and Rick (Barbara); his daughter-in-law Jenny Gibb; his daughter Gloria (Lyn) Halsall; sister Ruth (Bruce) Barrowclough; sister-in-law Doreen; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth; son Gary; great-granddaughter Hannah; siblings Bill, Betty, and Ina.
At Gordon’s request there will be no funeral. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
