Obituary of Agnes Elizabeth Sproull

Agnes Sproull It is with profound sadness that the families of Agnes Sproull announce the passing of a loving wife, mother, granny, great-granny, sister and mother-in-law. She passed away in Prince Albert with her family by her side Tuesday, November 28, 2017. She was born as Agnes Elizabeth Markling on March 19, 1934 in Nobleville, SK. She had many friends and those that knew her well called her Aggie. She married the love of her life Victor Sproull in Revelstoke, BC in 1955 and returned to Prince Albert in 1956. They welcomed 3 beautiful children; Rick, Debbie and Rocky, who passed away at the age of 7, and also opened her heart and home in helping raise Terry who she thought of as a son. They had 46 happy years together before her husband Victor passed away in 2001. Agnes worked hard at different jobs, but spent most of her years working at Dresswell Drycleaners. She loved the rodeo life with Victor and had a love for horses. Agnes always liked to keep herself busy and spent many hours upon hours tending to her yard and garden. She took great pride in her roses, in particular her yellow rose bushes. In fact she had such a beautiful yellow rose bush one year she made the newspaper where you can see her beaming with pride! When Agnes wasn’t busy with that, you could find her spending time with her dog Maggie or taking her for walks. For the past 3 years granny was fortunate to reside in a care home that welcomed her and made it feel like her own home allowing her to tend to the backyard which brought her a lot of joy, and we would like to thank Mary and Esther for that. Agnes was a loving and caring soul and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Agnes is survived by her loving family: her son Rick (Denise) Sproull; her daughter Debbie (Larry) Mihilewicz; six grandchildren, Randy (Leanne) Mihilewicz, Ryan (Joanne) Mihilewicz, Marcy Mihilewicz, Shane (Simone) Sproull, Scott Sproull and Christie Sproull, Paige and Cole Derksen; her seven great-grandchildren, Lane, Mason, Chase, Kylee, Morgan, Brook and James Mihilewicz, Daniel & Eric Choquette, Zildjian & Sabian Vergara. She was predeceased by her husband Victor Sproull; her son Rocky Sproull; her parents Louis & Magdalena Markling; her brothers Tony, Louis, and Joe; her sisters Marie, Christina, Leona, Viola and Mildred. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 260- 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Father Tuyen Vu celebrating.
