Leslie Paul Masuskapoe 1978 - 2017 With heavy hearts the family of Leslie Paul Masuskapoe announce his passing on December 9, 2017 in the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 39 years. Leslie was born on October 13, 1978 to Margaret Laliberte and Jacob Masuskapoe in Saskatoon, SK. Leslie leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Margaret Ahenakew; his wife, Christina Masuskapoe; his children, Roland, Alyssa, Levi, Leslie Jr., Christian Masuskapoe and Lane Jobb; and River and Lovell Masuskapoe; his grandson Keiran Masuskapoe; the mother of two of his children Celina Ballantyne; his siblings, Frank Ahenakew, Richard (Erin) Masuskapoe, Terry Masuskapoe, Randy Masuskapoe, Billy Masuskapoe, Travis Masuskapoe, Kathleen McKenzie, Celina (Clifford) Vandall, Holly Bob, Patricia (Elmer) Masuskapoe, Cindy (Harvey) Ahenakew; his special Kokum Joan Nelson and numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. Leslie is predeceased by: his father, Jacob Masuskapoe; his step-dad, Herman Ahenakew; his maternal grandparents, moshum, Joseph Aubichon and loving kokum, "Mom" Matilda Laliberte; his paternal grandparents, Frank Hilliard and Mary Masuskapoe; his brothers, Joseph Ray Masuskapoe and Jordan Masuskapoe as well as numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives. The Wake Service commenced on Monday, Dec., 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ahtahkakoop FN Band Hall. The Funeral Service took place on Wednesday, Dec., 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Band Hall with Alex Sasakamoose officiating. Interment Followed in the St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clifford Vandall, Harvey Keenatch, Elmer Jobb, Nathan Jobb, Sheldon Ahenakew and Glen Masuskapoe.
