Obituary of Marguerite Cummins

It is with profound sadness that the family of Marguerite Cummins announces her passing on February 10, 2008 at the age of 58 years. Marguerite was a gentle good hearted person. Her kindness and generosity was felt by each and every member of her family. Marguerite was born October 2, 1949 in Spiritwood, SK and shared her short but full life with her brothers and sisters. Her memory will live on in all our hearts forever, her presence and kindness will surely be missed. Marguerite will be remembered and sadly missed by the father of her children and friend, Gerald T. Cummins of Blucher, SK; her children Allan Janzen of Saskatoon, SK; Patrick (Leanna) and their daughters Karissa and Keanna of Maple Ridge, BC; Joel Cummins of Saskatoon, SK; Lora-Lee Neilson and her daughters Danielle and her daughter Bailey of Saskatoon, SK, Deza-Ray, Alexis and Alexandra of Blucher, SK; her brothers and sisters Laurette (Omer) Bourassa of Spiritwood, SK, Elise Mitchell of Saskatoon, SK, Archie (Faye) Parent of Spiritwood, SK, Oriol Belgar of Saskatoon, SK, Leonel (Beverly) Parent of Allan, SK, Rene Parent of Saskatoon, SK, Charles Parent (Bev Pylatuik) of Saskatoon, SK, Marcel Parent of Saskatoon, SK, Annette (Paul) Matte of Spiritwood, SK and Eyvette Parent of Big River, SK as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Melissa Ann, her parents Joseph and Lea Parent and her brother Harvey. The prayer service was held on Friday, February 15th, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, February 16th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., both from the Sacred Heart R. C. Church in Spiritwood. The celebrant was Rev. Fr. Paul De Guzman and the cross bearer was Gerald Cummins. The eulogists were Joel Cummins, Patrick Cummins and Marcel Parent and Beverly Parent read a poem. Bill Martodam was the music director. Honorary pall bearers were all relatives and friends who shared in Marguerite's life and the active pall bearers were Jason Parent, Eldon Matte, Maurice Bourassa, Roger Bourassa, Gary Friesen and Trevor Fertuck. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Health Foundation of Saskatchewan. Marguerite was laid to rest in the Laventure Cemetery.
