Following the interment, all present were invited for a time of lunch and fellowship in the Pioneer Centre. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Mary Ann (Oran) Olson, Marlene (Jerry) McDonald and their children: Darrien, Dallon and Cadence, Edwin Gyarmati and his son, Marshall also numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Nick was predeceased by his parents, Nickolas and Mary Gyarmati, siblings, Anne, Hermoine and Olga, brothers-in-law, Joe Balaszi Sr. and Jr., John Peters. Nick was raised on a farm by Reserve Lake until 11 years old, the family then moved to a farm in the Ranger District this was considered the family and this is where his heart remained until his passing. Nick met Anita and their children were born in 1966, 1972 and 1976. Over the years Nick had suffered from various health issues with the worst being losing his eyesight. The loss of his sister Olga Peters was especially difficult for Nick as they were very close. In May of 2010, Nick’s house burnt down and if it wasn’t for the quick thinking of neighbour Ryan Conacher, he would have perished in the fire, Nick was so grateful and thankful that he had a few extra years of life because of Ryan. In his later years he moved in with his daughter Maryann and her husband Oran, this was a special time for both him and Maryann as they got to make many precious memories together. He will be truly missed. Friends so wishing may make memorial donations to the Evergreen Health Centre, Leoville, SK in memory of Nick Gyarmati as tokens of remembrance.
