Grace was always able to brighten my day even during the most stressful of times. She radiated joy and genuine kindness and brought so much sunshine to the Ag Cafe where I saw her multiple times a week. It won't be the same without her and I am sure many of us students will be missing her here. Thank you Grace for being such a good example of kindness and how to treat each other!

Grace was always so kind to all of the students who passed through Agriculture Cafe. Going to get coffee was always a treat because she was genuinely interested in each and every person who had the pleasure of paying at her register. I will miss her positive attitude and hard work ethic and hope that I can work at least half as hard as she did when I graduate. She will be forever missed and the Cafe will not be the same without her for any student who met her. Thank you for brightening my day when I needed it most Grace, and rest in peace.

So very sorry to hear about Grace's sudden passing.
Grace and I were co-workers for many years at the U of S, Culinary Services. We worked together at the Tim Horton's location in the Arts building aka 'Tims in the Tunnel'.
Grace was a trooper! She NEVER EVER called in sick, even though there were times she was in a lot of pain due to injuries she sustained some years ago in a terrible car accident.
She was never ever late for work, although if she showed up only five minutes before her shift started, she considered that late.
And I will never forget the coupons she would bring to Sandra and I for cinnamon buns from Safeway, because she knew how much we loved them.
But my fondest memories of Grace, and I know the girls at Timmies would agree, would be some of the sayings Grace had.
When something happened that didn't please her, she would say, "What in the H E double hockey sticks is that supposed to mean."
Or
When she didn't agree with something being said ,she would say, "Hooooold the Bussssss!"
Or
When something happened that clearly shouldn't have, she would say,"Well unfortunately, you can't fix stupid!"
Those are the memories that will always put a smile on our faces, and no one will be able to say them as Grace would have. You were one of a kind Grace!
So on behalf of myself and the Tim's girls,
So long, thanks for the memories
May you Rest in Peace

I was sad to hear this sudden news. Grace always went out of her way to cheer up my day. We had good conversations over the small things in life, and I was always remember her feeding the birds just outside my office window here at USask. Note: I've been informed by the University Secretary that the flag atop of the Thorvaldson building (here at USask) will be lowered in Grace's honour this Saturday, March 17th, 2018. My best to all of Grace's family and friends - she will be missed here at USask.

Grace will be remembered forever. She loved people and it showed when we met her because she was so kind. When we would visit her at her house, she always had fresh produce from her garden, which she was so proud of, to give to us. Her love for her flower garden was precious. She could turn a weed into a flower. Grace was sincere, kind and unique in a way that when you talked to her, she would make you feel right at home. She was a very caring person. She will be missed.
