He was born and raised in England and educated at Marlborough and Pembroke College in Cambridge, England. Andrew married his Canadian born wife, Betty, in 1957. During his 50+ years as an Anglican minister, Andrew and family resided in several parishes in England and Canada enjoying the diversity of places ranging from London to Carmacks, Yukon. Andrew's last parish was Big River, SK from which he retired at the age of 75. Andrew and Betty moved to Paddockwood, SK to be closer to their children. He enjoyed teaching Greek and Latin as a secondary career. Andrew will be missed by his family and by the many friends he and Betty have made in both countries. Andrew is lovingly remembered by his wife Betty; his children David, and Mary (Barry) Coyle; his brother Rev. William (Jenny) Hallidie-Smith. He was predeceased by his parents Hallidie and Maud Hallidie-Smith, and his sisters Margaret and Katharine. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the Big River Community Center with officiants The Rt. Rev. Anthony Burton, Bishop of Saskatchewan, Rev.
