Very sorry to hear of Cec’s Passing. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Cec from our time together in the District Health Board. I loved her wit, compassion for others and the passion she embraced when fighting for the rights of the people she served. It is a privilege to call her friend. RIP my friend.

Cecile and I worked together for several years at DTI - she had a laugh that was infections, deep pride in her family, and a generous heart for those she loved. I always knew her to be a fighter: for what she believed in, her students and those who didn't have a voice - and I know she fought to stay on this earth as long as she could. Cecile always had stories to share ... like when she broke her toe ringing in New Year's Eve by chasing out the old and bringing in the new as part of a tradition she wanted to try with a friend. I don't know if the card game resumed after the injury but I'm sure the laughter did. My condolescences to Cecile's family as you mourn the loss of such a special lady. You were the apple of her eye!
