Obituary of Margaret Julia Bulyaki
Margaret Bulyaki
1930 - 2018
It is with very heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mom, Margaret Bulyaki. Margaret Julia Andre was born February 12, 1930 in Prud’homme, SK, she was the oldest daughter of 12 children. Margaret grew up on a farm in the Prud’homme district helping her mother with cooking, cleaning and raising her younger siblings. On October 11, 1950 Margaret married August Bulyaki. Together Margaret and August worked very hard and established their homestead in the Rothermere area, along with August’s adopted parents, Frank and Mary Schmidt. In September of 1951 they started their family, together they raised 5 children. In September of 1964, Margaret’s last child Leslie was born stillborn.
Margaret loved her life as a farm wife, although the work was very hard, she worked alongside her husband every day while raising her children, planting huge gardens, raising hundreds of chickens every summer, milking cows and the list goes on. Margaret lost her husband, August in August of 1992 on April 9, 2012 she broke her leg and was unable to stay alone any longer. In June of 2012 she came to the Spiritwood Health Complex and found a love for making cards and doing other crafts.
On December 22, 2016 her son Frank passed away suddenly, this left a huge void in her life that no one could fill. On April 19, 2018 surrounded by her loving family Margaret went to eternal home, she loved her family very much and also loved all those who visited. She made many people feel welcome and she will be greatly missed.
