Obituary of Stan C. G. Hare

Stan C. G. Hare April 20, 1942 - August 28, 2018 Stanley Charles George Hare was born April 20, 1942, Rabbit Lake, SK and passed away August 28, 2018, Spiritwood, SK at 76 years of age. Stan grew up on the family farm on the Ranger Grid. He and his brother Allan went to school at the Barnes Lake School and then later to Spiritwood. He drove bush cat for the Millars and worked road construction as he got older. He married his love Roberta Teer in 1965 and lived in Saskatoon for 15 years where he drove and owned Semi trucks (It was a passion of his). Their boys Colin and Duane were born in 1968 and 1971 in City Hospital. In 1980 we moved back to Bapaume and he did backhoe work and worked for the RM till his retirement. He loved fishing, hunting, big diesels, camping, visiting with family and friends, playing crib, his garden and big dogs. Stan is lovingly remembered by: his wife, Roberta Hare, sons: Colin (Carolyn) Hare and family: Meghan (Colten) Henault, Jackson, Jaimee & Jesse, Duane (Roxanne) Hare and family: Ashley (Wayne) Heppner and children: Brooke, Dawson & Carlee, Dion Hare, his brother, Allan (Sharon) Hare, brothers-in-law, Richard Teer and Dave Klics also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by: his parents, Jim and Jeanette Hare, parents-in-law, Bill and Margueritte Teer, siblings-in-law, Kathy & Fern Lafond, Jean Klics and Gloria Teer. A Funeral Service was held on Friday August 31, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the Spiritwood Civic Centre Spiritwood, SK with Delores Beaulac officiating. Colin Hare delivered the eulogy, Honorary Pallbearers were considered “All Stan’s Grandchildren and Friends” and the Urn Bearers were Stan’s Grandchildren: Ashley, Meghan, Jackson and Dion. Following the funeral service, all those in attendance were invited for lunch and fellowship in the Spiritwood Civic Centre before the interment at the Idylwild Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Idylwild Cemetery Fund in memory of Stan C. G. Hare as tokens of remembrance.
