Obituary of LORRAINE DIANNE SCOTT

Lorraine Diane Scott, 70, of Rabbit Lake, SK passed away suddenly on October 13, 2018 in Rabbit Lake, SK. Lorraine was born to Mary and Donald Scott in Spiritwood, SK on September 14, 1948. She was the oldest girl of the 6 Scott kids. She also had half brothers and sisters she cherished from both sides of her Father and Mother. She was a mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother and cherished friend. She had a huge heart and she enjoyed helping where she could with family and friends. Music was a great love of Lorraine’s and she would express that by listening to and playing instruments/singing. She enjoyed fishing with her husband Dave. As of late she was the owner/operator (alongside her husband) of the Rabbit lake store and café where she enjoyed the company and conversation with the locals. She was a proud member of AA for the last 23 years. She loved her community and all the friends she made there. Lorraine is lovingly remembered by: her husband, Dave Plummer, her children: Quinton Plummer and his children: Shyanne Martel & Raven Solberg, Shelley (Darren) Owchar and their children: Kelsey & Kenzi, her siblings: Clifford (Delores) Scott; Alexander (Helen) Scott; Raymond (Jeanette) Scott; Connie Chomyshen; Melfort Scott; Ron Scott, her sister-in-law, Dorothy Scott, numerous nieces, nephews, extended Ouellette family, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Donald and Marie Scott, her infant daughter, Shelly, her siblings, Gordon Scott, Barbara (Reg) Hammell, Elda Ashberry, Faye Manuel and brother-in-law, Raymond Chomyshen. Lorraine's Funeral Service was celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, October 22nd, 2018, at the Community Hall in Rabbit Lake, SK. with Rev. Cornie Martens officiating, the music ministry was provided by Marlene Martens. The Eulogy was given by Connie Chomyshen, Honourary Pallbearers were considered “All of Lorraine’s special friends and family”. Immediately following the service, the family invited all present for lunch and fellowship in the hall. A private family interment will be held at a later date in the Mullingar Cemetery. Memorial donations in Lorraine’s memory may be directed to the Rose Gill Lodge, Rabbit Lake Health Care Facility or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Lorraine Scott as tokens of remembrance.
