Obituary of Joe Pallo

It is with great sadness that the family of Joe Pallo announces his passing on April 21, 2008 at his home on the farm with his family by his side at the age of 72 years. Joe was born to Mike and Julia Pallo on June 4th, 1935. He had two brothers and one sister. Joe grew up in Spiritwood and attended Resolute school. He went to work on the rigs at an early age. Joe married Eleanor Szasz in December of 1960 and they had four children. He was a farmer at heart and loved farming. The priority in his life was his family especially when the grandchildren arrived. Joe was a big part of the Resolute Community Club and loved old time dancing. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him but he will live on through the memories that we hold dear. Joe is lovingly remembered by his wife Eleanor Pallo of Spiritwood, SK; his son Anthony Pallo of Spiritwood, SK; his daughters JoAnne (Don) Walter of Spiritwood, SK; Juliet "Julie" (Curtis) Bassingthwaite of Spiritwood, SK; Trona (Ernie) Huchkowsky of Spiritwood, SK; his grandchildren Brock Walter; Jordan Walter; Dustin Bassingthwaite; Casandra Bassingthwaite and Jesse Pallo; his brother Charlie Pallo of Spiritwood, SK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Mike and Julia Pallo; his brother Mike Pallo Jr. and his sister Irene Soboleski. The memorial service was held on Thursday, April 24th, 2008 at 1 p.m. from the Sacred Heart R. C. Church in Spiritwood. Rev. Leigh Sinclair was the officiant and special tributes were given by the family. Honorary pall bearers were all relatives and friends who shared in Joe's life and the urn bearer was Casandra Bassingthwaite. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
