Dear Rhona and family,
My name is Lloyd Payne from Whitehorse YT. My heart goes out to you and I am so sorry to hear about Al's passing. My sincere condolences.
You don't know me, but I vividly remember Al being one of my teachers many many years ago at Prince Albert Composite High school.
I remember when he addressed me as Mr Payne that meant I had done something wrong. I really enjoyed being his student.
Wishing you strength and courage through this difficult time.
I will always remember him.
Sincerely
Lloyd Payne.

Rhona and family, our sympathies to you. So sorry, we were not aware that Al was unwell. So many memories of time spent with you folks. Lake visits and bowling league, Monday nights were always fun. May your many memories help you through your loss. Prayers and hugs, Gerry and Audrey

I have many memorires of Mr. Subchyshyn at Wesmor. A very caring yet stern vice principal gave much needed discipline to this kid with a bad attitude. On many trips to his office, whether it be for a lecture or one time the strap, I would say to him, “well Uncle Al, I should be getting back to class now” and catch a little grin out of the corner of my eye. I still have all of the letters you sent to my parents telling the of the potential I had if I would apply myself. I hope you can somehow relish in the fact of being such a postive influence in my young life. I sure do.

Dear Family,
Al was a classy and professional man!
Our sons liked him at Wesmor when he was Vice Principal and then I had the honor of working with him on the STS-PA Chapter Executive. He was our valued Treasurer and those books were always in top shape! Al had such a dry sense of humor and that made a joke or comment even more funny!
A wise and thoughtful person, I shall have great memories of him. Thank you Al!
To his family..May you find peace and comfort in really great memories.

Dear Rhonda and family:
We are saddened to learn of Al’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in these difficult days. We know the love and support of family and friends will bring some comfort in the days ahead. I learned much from Al in my days with the PA Unit 56 School Divison. He was always willing to share his experience, and did so in a thoughtful way. In later years we enjoyed occasional visits when we were in Prince Albert...always interesting conversations with Al.
Sincerely,
Ron and Donna Woodward
