Obituary of Katherine Elaine Yurkowski

Katherine Yurkowski 1943 - 2018 Mrs. Katherine Elaine Yurkowski (nee: Pike) was born to Gordon and Inez Pike on the 30th day of May, 1943 in Foam Lake, SK. Katherine passed away at Whispering Pine Place Nursing Home in Canwood, SK on November 21, 2018 at the age of 75. Kathy took her schooling in Dundurn, SK. She went on to marry Victor Yurkowski in November of 1962. They lived in various places and had 3 children, Dale, Dalann and Dalmarie. Dale passed away at a very young age. Kathy has one granddaughter and one great granddaughter. Kathy is also survived by her three siblings, Dorothy Tew, Joyce Anderson and Robert Abtosway. Katherine lived in Calgary for numerous years and belonged to the Legion for 40 years where she loved to go play pool, darts, shuffle board and have a cold glass of beer with her friends. She had a great sense of humor and loved doing home renovations and also enjoyed her yard and flowers. Katherine was cremated and asked to be laid to rest in Foam Lake, SK, near her mom and dad.
